$1 Million Recovery in Teacher Sex Abuse Case

Connecticut Child Sex Abuse Lawyer Tim O’Keefe has recovered $1,000,000.00 for a man who was sexually abused by an administrator at his middle school when he was a young child.  The settlement of the case was announced just days before the case was to begin trial at Superior Court in Hartford, Connecticut.  “This administrator should never have been hired by the school system as he had already had his employment terminated because of inappropriate sexualized behavior with another student.  It took our client several years before he was ready to come to grips with this extensive sexual abuse.  This case serves as a very good example as to why there should be no statute of limitations applicable to child sex abuse claims.”  Tim O’Keefe

Tim O’Keefe Scores Appellate Victory

Connecticut Child Sex Abuse Lawyer Tim O’Keefe announced that his firm has won a victory at the Connecticut Appellate Court in favor of a client who was sexually abused as a minor.  “This case involves a claim of the sexual molestation of a four year old child.  The defendant tried to convince the Superior Court, and now the Connecticut Appellate Court, that he should be excused from civil accountability for his actions because too much time has passed since the time that he molested this child. Both a Superior Court judge, and now the Connecticut Appellate Court, have completely rejected this specious argument.  We now plan to continue with the case against the perpetrator.”  Tim O’Keefe

Tim O’Keefe Obtains $325,000.00 Settlement for Child Sex Abuse Client

Connecticut Child Sex Abuse Lawyer Tim O’Keefe has obtained a $325,000.00 settlement for a client who claims he was abused by an administrator at a local school.  “Our client has chosen to remain anonymous with respect to this case so we are not identifying the school district involved to protect the client.  This case presented some logistical challenges because the events in question occurred so many years ago.  In the end, our client chose to resolve his claim without a trial.  That was the best decision for him and we respect that decision.”  Tim O’Keefe

Student Sex Assault Case to Begin Trial in September

Jury selection is set to begin in a lawsuit filed against EastConn Transportation on September 15, 2015 at Rockville Superior Court.  The case involves an EastConn bus driver who repeatedly sexually assaulted a fifteen year old girl in EastConn’s care over a period of three months.  “The defendant refuses to accept ANY responsibility for what happened to this young girl and its insurance company apparently has no interest in reaching an amicable settlement in the case.  Accordingly, we will select a jury and present our evidence and ask the jury to hold the defendant accountable and make its insurance company pay a fair and proper amount for damages.”  Tim O’Keefe
